Emergency Medicine Queensland near Great Barrier Reef

We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, team-oriented Emergency Medicine Physician to join our department. We are a regional adult and paediatric mix emergency department with an annual attendance of 50,000 presentations and 25% are paediatric. It is the referral hospital for Central Queensland and sees a wide range of complex multi-speciality cases. This Department is led by 9.5 FTE FACEMs, 4.0 FTE FACRRMs and 1.0 FTE Senior Medical Officer. The Emergency department’s vision is for a culture of excellence that empower our staff to provide compassionate and timely emergency care for all patients in an environment that promotes respect, quality, safety and continuous learning. The city is the most beautiful regional centre in Australia. The central business district, particularly the main street(which is part of the National Estate), has the most elegant, and well preserved, streetscape in the country. The concentration of beautiful old buildings, the tree lined streets, the gently flowing River beside Quay Street, all make this area of the CBD one of the delights of any visit to the city. The city is a large and prosperous city which has become the unofficial capital of Central Queensland. It has a wide range of attractions for the visitor and, combined with the coastal towns adjacent to the Great Barrier Reef, it is in an area so rich it could easily take a week to see everything.
