Specialist/Consultant - Haematology

Duties: Permanent, Full Time, day working 76 hours per fortnight, Public district general hospital.Provide services in Haematology including diagnosis, treatment and care for patients, both inpatients and outpatients, of the Cancer Service. This includes attending patient rounds as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. Selection Criteria: 1. Demonstrable high level of clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills within the discipline of Haematology. 2. Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of medical, nursing and health professional staff and to communicate well with relevant professionals across all disciplines and with patients and their families. 3. Willingness to lead or participate in the teaching of undergraduate and post-graduate staff assigned to the clinical practice unit and a commitment to continuing professional education including maintenance of personal knowledge and skills. 4. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety activities relevant to the clinical discipline.
